Song of the Month
(Hopefully) something new for you to check out
"Keep Your Head Up" by Andy Grammer
This song is just upbeat and fun - it's kind of a cross between "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz and "Rock & Roll" by Eric Hutchinson that begs you to sing along.

Featured Artist: Amos Lee
A few tracks from one of my all-time faves
Every time I heard his songs on Cities 97, I thought "hey, there's another Amos Lee song that I like". While "Flower" is my current favorite, there are at least nine others that I think deserve some airtime. Check out my list of the Top 10 Amos Lee Songs and let me know what you think of my selections of his best.

The Gem
A lesser-known song that deserves more attention
"Smooth Operator" by Sade
She talks about some random guy being smooth, but we all know that it's actually Sade's voice that's the smoothest. It seems like this song should be reserved for sitting next to someone special, in front of a fire, at night, with your favorite beverage in hand. You really want to download it now, don't you?

Folk Fascination
Good old fashioned music with acoustic instruments
"This Land Is Your Land" by Peter, Paul & Mary
We all heard plenty of pro-America songs on the 10th anniversary of 9-11, but this 3-chord classic might be my favorite.

A Cappella
Unaccompanied Treasures
"I'm Thinking About Your Body" by Bobby McFerrin
Bobby's 1986 solo a cappella album Spontaneous Inventions is amazing, leading off with this unique track. Check it out...

...or try Us3's version which sample's Bobby's: |

Grab Bag
Something Unique to Send You on Your Way
"Hallelujah I Love Her So" by Tony DeSare
This is a remake of a classic Ray Charles hit and DeSare nails it with a sparse (piano and vocals only) yet well-produced interpretation. Thanks to my good friend Ferrari for the recommendation!
