I'm normally not into sappy country songs, but this one is an exception because it's about cancer and because Martina McBride has an outstanding voice. I predict that this song will (deservedly) be a big hit.

A few tracks from one of my all-time faves

I remember hearing "This Love" for the first time in 2004, thinking that the song was great, and wanting to hear more from that band. A great hook, a great beat, and a great singer. This is my favorite from the Eurythmic Diva/Medusa.

I thought this might be appropriate as we head into fall. I like the song better without the keyboard part, but it's still great classic S & G.

This is a great recording of a great Paul McCartney song. It helped Firedrill! win the CARA award for the Best Pop/Rock Album for 2010.

"Lady Wants to Know" by Michael Franks

I first heard this song on some cheesy smooth jazz CD compilation I bought at Target a dozen years ago for $9.99. Al Jarreau's "We're In The Love Together" was the reason for the purchase, but this song's haunting melody has stayed with me ever since and has become one of my favorite songs from the genre.
