Song of the Month
"Anything's Possible " by Jonny Lang. A cool blues track from a couple years ago with an uplifting message. Give it a listen!

Featured Artist: Indigo Girls
I remember hearing "Closer to Fine" in my first days as a camp counselor and it made me fall in love with folk music and the guitar. From my perspective, Amy and Emily are the best contemporary folk artists around. Check out my top ten list here and their full catalog on

Blast from the Past
"Rainbow's Cadillac " by Bruce Hornsby. In honor of the NBA playoffs, here's a fun song about a fictional playground legend from an underappreciated artist.

Gems
"Way over Yonder in the Minor Key " by Billy Bragg and Wilco featuring Natalie Merchant. A great combination of traditional folk music and Natalie's cool contemporary voice.

Private Picks (from T-Sodes, an active duty soldier)
"Come Sail Away" by Styx.
This is one of my favorite songs from Styx and from the late 70's. It was first released in 1977 and reached number 8 on pop singles charts. You gotta love the soothing opening with pianos, the minute-long synthesizer instrumental, and the guitar-heavy finish!

Kiddie Corner
"The Sharing Song" by Jack Johnson from the Curious George Soundtrack. It is definitely always more fun to share with everyone.
