Song of the Month
(Hopefully) something new for you to check out
"Blame It On the Girls" by Mika
Similar to the music of Scissor Sisters, this track is just one of those fun dance tunes that are so hard to resist. I honestly don't know what it's about, but the groove is good enough that I don't care.

Featured Artist: Eric Clapton
A few tracks from one of my all-time faves
At some point I needed to pay my respects to one of the greatest guitarists of all time. My favorites are generally more recent, but there is some Cream in there for flavor. Check out my list of the Top 10 Eric Clapton Songs and let me know what you think.

The Gem
A lesser-known song that deserves more attention
"Let My Love Open the Door" by Pete Townshend
I first heard this classic tune on the Grosse Point Blank Soundtrack and was surprised to learn that it was by The Who's legendary guitarist. With a memorable tune and a unique accompaniment, this one's in a category all by itself.

Folk Fascination
Good old fashioned music with acoustic instruments
"Rule My World" by Kings of Convenience
After a 4 year wait, this Norwegian duo is finally back with a new album of acoustic chill-out songs. Along with "Mrs. Cold", this track broke into my Top 10 Kings of Convenience Songs list.

Aaah Cappella
Unaccompanied Treasures
"El Paso" by Tonic Sol Fa
I know that Marty Robbins' original version is a classic, but I haven't seen him in an inspiring instrument-free performance. I have with Tonic Sol-Fa and this is my pick for their best tune.

Kiddie Corner
Quality music for kids and adults alike
"Eat Like a Rainbow" by Jay Mankita
When I first began JayTunes and AllJay.com, I created a list of the best songs by Jay musicians. Included there was Mr. Mankita, a singer-songwriter from the east coast, for his delightful "Eat Like a Rainbow" children's record. Just recently he sent me an email saying that he enjoyed JayTunes, and after a couple of notes back and forth he sent me a some of his CDs for my kids. Now if that doesn't deserve a shout out, I don't know what does.
