Whether or not you’re into this year’s David vs. David drama, you have to appreciate that American Idol has had a huge impact on the music industry.  For a little stroll down memory lane, check out my list of great performances by Idol alums including Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, and more.  Sorry Claymates- I couldn’t bring myself to include anything by Mr. Aiken (or Justin Guarini, for that matter).  The list is no masterpiece, but at least you won’t have to endure comments from Paula, Randy, Simon, or Ryan.  I am a little nostalgic for Brian Dunkleman, though….
