The JayTunes Jam

Okay… I’m married and pushing 40, so this might not be as interesting as the title would suggest.  I was just thinking about all of the songs with girls’ names in the title and tried to come up with my favorites.  It was tough, though, because there are so many good ones.  Check out some of the lovely ladies that didn’t even make the list: Alberta, Amanda, Annie, Barbara Ann, Beth, Christy Lee, Fiona, Kathy, Janie, Josie, Lorelei, Mandy, Mary, Michelle, Ruby, Susie Q, and Taylor.  The select few that did make the cut include a Toto song that’s one of my favorites of all time, a classic track from the Oak Ridge Boys (which I had the privilege of seeing performed live at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth), and entries from favorite artists Neil Diamond, Barenaked Ladies, and Elvis Costello.  Of course, I also had to give a few shout-outs to the most important girls in my life – my wife and daughter.  Can you guess the songs?  Check out my Top 10 List of Girl Name Songs and let me know what you think!
